How To Use

Your Inner Alien lives on Planet Smooth: this sugar scrub has cosmically clarifying charcoal and a starry sparkle. Gently massage the product before use. Squeeze and lightly rub all over wet skin to very gently exfoliate, soften, and cleanse.

No Gross Stuff

Kids products didn't meet our high standards for formulation and fun—here's what we cut out to fix that:

Methylisothiazolinone,
Methylisothiazolinone is a preservative that is a known allergen and skin sensitizer, It can cause severe, painful rashes, as well as lung toxicity– our formulas use safe, higher quality alternatives.
SLS/SLES,
SLS & SLES are plant-based surfactants, which means they create foam which helps things to lather up. We don't use them because they are a known skin irritant and possible carcinogen.
Formaldehyde,
Formaldehyde helps prevent microbes from growing in water-based products and is used as a preservative. It is a known carcinogen, as well as an eye, skin, and respiratory irritant.
Talc,
Talc is a mineral substance linked to irritation, cancer and organ system toxicity. Talc exposure, especially via personal care products, can also lead to a diseased respiratory tract as characterized by laboured breathing and coughing.
Triclosan,
Triclosan is an antibacterial agent that has been linked to concerns such as endocrine disruption, bioaccumulation, and the emergence of bacteria resistant to antibacterial products. It is also toxic to aquatic ecosystems.
EDTA,
EDTA is a preservative that can cause irritation. It can also cause some ingredients to be more absorbed by skin– we don't want significant absorption: our formulas are created to be appropriate strengths for kids' skin.
Phthalates,
Phthalates are a group of chemicals used to make plastics more flexible and harder to break. Phthalates are linked to endocrine disruption, developmental and reproductive toxicity, and cancer and have been banned from cosmetic products in the EU.
Triethanolamine (TEA),
TEA is used as fragrance, pH adjuster and emulsifying agent. It has been linked to being an eye and skin irritant. We use safer alternatives.
Propylene Glycol,
Propylene glycol is a synthetic additive that belongs to the same chemical group as alcohol. It can cause irritation, so we've elected not to use it on kids delicate skin.
Animal derived ingredients,
Our products are totally vegan: we don't use any animal-derived ingredients in our formulations.
Mineral Oils,
Mineral oil and petroleum jelly are both by-products of petroleum refinement and both are considered petrochemicals. It can be pore-clogging and may exacerbate acne-prone conditions.
Added Sulfates,
Sulfates are typically used as foaming and cleansing agents: some sodium sulfates are known allergens, as well as skin, scalp, and eye irritants. We don't use these types and opt for better alternatives.
Silicone,
Silicones tend to be “filler” and don’t contribute much to product efficacy. Further, for acne-prone people, silicones can act as a ‘barrier’ and trap oil, dirt, and dead skin cells, making acne worse. They are also bio accumulative: once they’re rinsed down the drain, they contribute to the build-up of pollution in oceans and waterways and may not break down for hundreds of years.
Animal testing,
Our products are not tested on animals and are cruelty-free.
Parabens,
Parabens are a preservative used to prevent bacteria that is potentially hormone-impacting for humans. So we cut it.
Polybutene
Polybutene is used as a binder and may be a skin irritant for products used around the eyes, on the skin, or aerosolized. We've said 'no' to using it on skin that's growing up.

I’m a multitasking, skin-hydrating, ultra-smoothing hero ingredient that powers every product in the Lazy Days world.

Water

I’m a special kind of distilled or purified water that’s used in Allkinds formulas to make sure they work just right.

Coconut Oil

I’m a naturally nourishing, moisturising helper for skin and hair.

Castor Oil

I’m a friendly, natural emollient: I help lock in moisture so skin feels hydrated & smooth.

Silica

I’m a thickening agent that helps give products the right texture.

Cetearyl Olivate

I’m a plant-derived emulsifier: I help to blend formulas and moisturise your skin.

Fragrance (Parfum)

I sound kind of fancy and grown-up, but really I’m just a technical term for the 100% natural fragrance compounds that Allkinds uses to gives products their fun, fresh scents. I’m free of phthalates, parabens, and petrochemicals, BTW.

Glycerin

I’m a powerful go-to ingredient for restoring skin: I help naturally draw in moisture to keep it feeling fresh & smooth.

Shea Butter

I’m a super hydrating moisturiser that’s loaded with restorative antioxidants.

Moonstone

I’m a minerally-derived, smoothing supporter for your skin.

Volcanic Ash

I’m naturally deep cleansing & soothing in a bunch of ways: I help heal, calm, and gently exfoliate skin.

Charcoal

I help deeply exfoliate skin by drawing out dirt & oil to leave you feeling smooth.

Sorbitan Olivate

I’m an emulsifier that helps oil and water play nice, so they don’t separate: I also help to moisturise skin.

Ethylhexylglycerin

I’m a friendly preservative: I help make sure Allkinds products last a long time and stay awesome.

Sodium Phytate

I’m a plant-based chelating agent, which basically means I help to keep a formula stable, so it can stay awesome and last as long as it needs to.

Citric Acid

I’m a naturally occurring acid: sometimes I help balance pH levels in different products, sometimes I make stuff fizzy and fun.

Sodium Hydroxide

I help to make sure the pH levels of Allkinds formulas are just right for your skin.

Benzyl Alcohol

I’m usually added to formulas as a preservative, but sometimes I’m just a naturally occurring chemical compound in certain essential oils & absolutes: in that case, I’m called out so you know I’m there, just in case you might be sensitive to me in particular.

Salicylic Acid

I’m an exfoliant that helps shrink spots, keep skin fresh, and block future breakouts.

Sorbic Acid

I’m a mild preservative that helps make sure Allkinds products last and stay awesome.

Mica

I’m a mineral powder that helps to create a fun, shiny, shimmery look in certain products.

Colourant

You probably guessed it: I’m what gives products their awesome, fun colours.

Limonene

I’m a naturally occurring chemical compound in certain essential oils: I’m called out so you know I’m there, just in case you might be sensitive to me in particular.
